1882 Hartland Post Office was established on April 10, 1882 in Laramie County prior to the formation of Platte County. Its name was changed to Hartville on May 3, 1882.

1918 On April 10, 1918, the "Kemmerer Camera" published a pictorial supplement to the regular issue of the newspaper. It included not only photos and histories of Lincoln County but also similar stories about places of Sublette and Teton Counties since Lincoln County still included those areas. View the supplement.
