1843 William Henry Jackson was born on April 4, 1843. He is best known as the first person to photograph Yellowstone. He also photograph many other areas of Wyoming. The largest collection of his works is housed at the Scotts Bluff National Monument in Nebraska.
1888 An article about the thriving town of Manville was published in "Bill Barlow's Budget" on April 4, 1888. "Manville proclaims herself as the center of the best farming and agricultural region in Wyoming." The town was named for H.S.
