1893 Arapahoe Post Office was established as Arapahoe Agency Post Office on February 15, 1893 and its name changed to Arapahoe on May 12, 1906. Arapahoe was named for the Arapaho people that lived there.
February 15 is a big day in the history of Wyoming Places. Three counties, Park (1909), Sublette (1921) and Teton (1921) were created by the Wyoming Legislature. Numerous post offices were established including Campbell (1890), Hematite (1889), Arapahoe Agency (1893), Little Medicine (1893), Fossil (1886), Lusk (1884) and Twin Creeks (1883).
