1886 The cornerstone for the Union Pacific Depot in Cheyenne was laid on July 19, 1886. Now almost 125 years old, the depot has been restored and designated a National Historic Landmark. It houses the Cheyenne Depot Museum.

1912 An article about the new town of Lysite was published by the Wind River Mountaineer.
