1878 Saratoga Post Office was established as Warm Springs Post Office on October 4, 1878.



1888 Casper Post Office was established on October 4, 1888.


1889 On October 4, 1889 Governor Warren issued a proclamation calling for an election on Tuesday, November 5, to adopt or reject the constitution prepared for Wyoming by the Constitutional Convention of September, 1889.

1927 Between October 4, 1927, and October 31, 1941, Gutzon Borglum and 400 workers sculpted the 60 foot high carvings of U.S. presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln to represent the first 150 years of American history.
