1903 On April 1, 1903, President Theodore Roosevelt departed D.C. for a Western campaign tour. The planned trip would last two months and cover 14,000 miles. In Wyoming, he would spend time in Yellowstone National Park and visit Newcastle, Evanston, Laramie, and Cheyenne.
