1903 On April 24, 1903, after spending almost two weeks in Yellowstone, President Roosevelt laid a cornerstone for the northern entrance to Yellowstone National Park—today, the resulting structure is known as the Roosevelt Arch.
1909 On April 24, the crew of the Pathfinder Car for the New York to Seattle race reached Green River (Cheyenne Daily Leader, April 25, 1909), drove through Granger, and arrived at Kemmerer later that same day (Kemmerer Camera, April 29, 1909).
