Pathfinder Wyoming Boomerang

1903 On April 8, 1903, President Theodore Roosevelt started his Yellowstone excursion. He would travel through the Park for two weeks.

1909 In April of 1909, a four man crew in a Thomas Flyer "Pathfinder Car" crossed the country laying out a route for the New York to Seattle "ocean to ocean" automobile race that was to be held that summer. This was the famous Thomas Flyer vehicle that had won the New York to Paris race the previous year. In Wyoming, the crew followed the route of the Overland Trail. The event created a lot of interest and was tracked in the Wyoming newspapers. The crew left Kansas City in the Thomas Flyer on April 8 (Laramie Boomerang, April 8, 1909).

1914 Weston Post Office was established with Weston S. Harvey as its postmaster.
