1882 The Oregon Short Line route between Granger, Wyoming and Montpelier, Idaho was completed on August 5, 1882.
1907 The Wyoming Tribune of August 5, 1907 published an article about the new town of Liberty in Hot Springs County. Liberty was located at the Willow Springs Mining Camp. It was named Liberty because it represented the glory and prosperity "found at the new Wyoming mining town."
