1889 Dubois Post Office was established on August 6, 1889.

1910 The Crystal Lake Dam (at present-day Curt Gowdy State Park's Crystal Lake Reservoir) was completed on August 6, 1910.

1938 The Crook County Library in Sundance was built in 1937. Much of the work was done through WPA labor. The official opening of the library was held on August 6, 1938.
