1878 La Bonte Post Office was established on February 11, 1878. La Bonte and La Bonte Creek were named for La Bonte, an early French trapper. La Bonte was also the location of the LaBonta Stage Station and nearby Camp Marshall.
1936 The Bucking Horse and Rider logo was used for its first state wide trademarked use in 1936. It was used as a logo for troops during WWI.
