1890 The Cheyenne Daily Sun published a report from the Lander Mountaineer on the snow conditions in the Lander Area.

So far this winter the valleys in this section of Wyoming ahve been almost entirely free of snow, while the mountains have been covered with whiteness to a depth which has not been exceeded in a number of years. Snow lies to a depth of five feet at the saw mill and word comes from South Pass that more snow has fallen there than at any time in the past ten years.

1903 On January 2, 1903, Laramie received a $20,000 Carnegie Library Grant. The new Carnegie Library was "formally given to people" on January 24, 1906. 1923 Sublette County, named for the fur traders William and Milton Sublette, was created February 15, 1921, and organized January 2, 1923.
