1877 Large fossil bones were found at Como Bluff starting the dinosaur rush in Wyoming.
1886 The cornerstone for the Union Pacific Depot in Cheyenne was laid on July 19, 1886. The Depot has now been restored and designated as a National Historic Landmark. It houses the Cheyenne Depot Museum.
1912 An article about the new town of Lysite was published by the Wind River Mountaineer.
