1905 In 1905, a Transcontinental Car Race was held between two Oldsmobiles called "Old Scout" and "Old Steady." Their drivers traveled from New York to the Lewis and Clark Exposition in Portland Oregon, following the Oregon Trail for a portion of the trip. On June 5, Dwight B. Huss, driver of "Old Scout" reported from Sage on their trip across Wyoming.

1914 The Worland Women's Club started the Washakie County Library as a project on June 5, 1914.
