1888 Sheridan County was organized on May 11, 1888 with Sheridan as its county seat. The Tenth Territorial Legislative Assembly created and defined the boundary of Sheridan County on March 9, 1888.

1909 The people of Rock River voted for incorporation of their town, and the people of Pine Bluffs elected their first town officials.
