1876 Rawling's Springs Post Office was established on October 22, 1868. Its name was changed to Rawlins Post Office on May 4, 1876.

1898 The U.S. Monitor Wyoming was authorized by Congress on May 4, 1898. Launched in September, 1900, her name was changed to Cheyenne on January 1, 1909. Read more about the history of the M-10 USS Wyoming here.
