1836 Nathaniel K. Boswell was born on November 4, 1836 in New Hampshire. He came to Wyoming in 1867. He started ranching and became the first sheriff of Albany County. A number of places are named for him including Boswell Creek, Springs and the Boswell Ranch. He also was the postmaster of the Boswell Post Office.
1924 On November 4, 1924, Nellie Tayloe Ross was elected Governor of Wyoming. She was the first female governor of any state in the U.S. Read more about the former Governor here.
