1868 On November 6,1868, the Sioux chief Red Cloud signed a peace treaty with General William T. Sherman at Fort Laramie, Wyoming, ending Red Cloud's War and establishing the Great Sioux Reservation. The army agreed to abandon posts in order to end Indian raids.
1907 The Rock Springs Miner of November 9, 1907 reported that the John Phillips Sousa Band played a concert at Rock Springs on November 6.
1936 Henry Bourne Joy died on November 6, 1936. He was a Detroit financier and industrialist, president of Packard Motor Car Company, leader of the "Good Roads Movement" and president of the Lincoln Highway Association.
1949 On November 6, 1949, it was announced that the Casper Army Air Field had become the Natrona County Municipal Airport.
