1868 The Union Pacific Railroad tracks reached Point of Rocks, not far from the western edge of the territory.

1891 Bald Mountain Post Office was established. Also called the City of Broken Dreams, it was the site of the Bald Mountain Mining Camp at the namesake Bald Mountain peak.

1912 "Two Feet of Snow on Top of the Range" reported in the weekend edition of the Centennial Post for that Monday at the Medicine Bow National Forest.
