Map of Wyoming 1879

The Wind River Indian Reservation was established on July 3, 1868 with the Fort Bridger Treaty of 1868. On December 8, 1875, the Fourth Territorial Legislative Assembly created Wyoming's sixth and seventh counties, Crook and Pease (now Johnson).
